Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Wrockwardine

Toby Carvery Telford

Myself and partner took our 5 children here, I have got to say on our first visit we wasn't very Happy... but I am now pleased to say we did go back to give them another go and it was perfect, all the food was cooked spot on even our son who is a very fussy eater left there with a very full tummy 😁 and I must say if you go definitely try the deserts they we're all so bloody yummy... I also have to say the manger that was working there (sarah) was so bloody friendly, kind, helpful and is fantastic at her job! I'm so glad we went back and would recommend everyone to try this place or even give them another chance if you wasn't to happy the first time... our family will definitely be going back xx

Popped in to check out the breakfast on a Tuesday around 9:00, expecting a ‘sales-pitch was better than reality ‘ experience, but was very pleasantly surprised! Fried eggs were overdone, so I asked for some fresh soft ones. They magically appeared in under 3 mins! Staff friendly too! Nice smiles! Price was also a nice experience! All you can eat and serve yourself on a dinner plate for £4.49! A couple of new taste experiences on offer too: a bacon and onion breakfast yorkie and fried potatoes with onions and bacon ( a bit like a potato bubble and squeak). Tea & Coffee extra bit on an ‘endless ‘self serve’ basis. Hope they keep this up, if they do, we will be back!

Tayleur Arms

Longdon upon Tern, Telford TF6 6LJ, UK – 01952 770335

Went with family for High tea. Best we have had .. Loads of it, beautiful presentation, even gave us lunch boxes to take some home for the grandchildren, staff were so friendly, offered Moor pots of tea. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend Tayleur Arms. We would not go any where else. Thanks guys for a beautiful afternoon. Xx

An interesting visit. A busy pub/restaurant for a Wednesday evening but not really sure why. The menu is quite dated (think 1970's) and the staff a little slapdash. Our starters were good, prawn cocktail and pate but the main courses left a lot to be desired; even though the portions were huge, attention to detail is definitely required. The fish on the fish finger sandwich was over cooked and the coleslaw under chopped. The Gammon was served folded in half to fit on the plate, which was swimming in a water/oil mix, which had to be mopped with napkins to make it edible. The peas, soggy mushrooms and fried onions were a list cause.
